STATEMENT

My practice unfolds as a crossing of the mirror, inspired by Luce Irigaray and This Sex Which Is Not One. I explore norms that shape bodies, forms of alterity, and dynamics of power, working between painting and writing.

Photography, dissolved into paint, becomes flesh of the image, while human, animal, and plant figures act as metaphors for vulnerability, domination, and inherited cultural constraints. Blue, pink, and violet, historically linked to gender, open spaces between care and cruelty.

My work draws on images from my intimacy, art history, science, documentaries, and literature. Paintings create interior spaces, like Woolfian rooms of one’s own, read as metaphorical self-portraits of feminine condition. Writing nourishes and extends this work, using metaphor to express what hurts and what heals.
